8 - The Gargoyle Restaurant

530 Broad Street, Lake Geneva, WI 53147

The Gargoyle Restaurant was opened here in 1921. Decorated with elaborate statuary and a large, whimsical fountain, it was a favorite place for Gary, Mary Jo, and Don Kaye to play, until they were chased away by the restaurant's chef. Later in 1975, this would become the site of the inaugural Strategists Club Awards Banquet during the Gen Con gaming convention held each year in August.
