Gary & Mary Jo Gygax moved here in 1966. In this tiny home they raised their children Ernie, Elise, Heidi, Cindy, and Luke. It was here that Gary: held Gen Con 0 in 1967, hosted games on his basement sand table for his Lake Geneva Tactical Studies Rules war gaming club, founded the Castle & Crusade Society in 1970 as the Earl of Walworth, operated a shoe cobbling business from 1971 through 1975, became a professional game designer, created and play-tested many games, including Alexander, Dunkirk, Chainmail, Cavaliers and Roundheads, and most notably Dungeons & Dragons! After the death of Don Kaye, this became the 2nd headquarters of Tactical Studies Rules from 1975 to early 1976.
