27 - Jane's Bar (Tavern!)

Jane's Bar opened in 1967 and was a legendary establishment for locals. It became a favorite hangout for employees of TSR Hobbies from the top executives to the janitors. The walls and doors of the place were festooned with artwork by the like of TSR artists such as Tom Wham and David Trampier. When the place closed in 1983 it was greatly lamented. Gary Gygax confessed that when Jane's Bar closed he ceased going to bars, he truly felt none could compare to the beloved tavern.
